Child Care Programming Photo

“Taylor Talks” is an environmental education program for LKDSB and SCCDSB elementary students.

“Taylor Talks” topics are chosen based on each grade’s science curriculum. Examples of “Taylor Talks” topics include: composting, recycling, resource conservation, climate change, and renewable energy.

Every month, a “Taylor Talks” presentation is delivered virtually (this allows us to reach far more classes than we could in person). Following the presentation, a hands-on activity component furthers students’ understanding of the environmental topic presented during the “Taylor Talk”. This program has been very well-received, and we hope to expand “Taylor Talks” into secondary schools next year.
