The Before and After School Program is specifically developed for children Kindergarten to Grade 6. Beginning September 2017, school boards are required to ensure the provision of Before and After School Programs where there is sufficient demand for every elementary school serving students in the primary and/or junior division.

An integrated before and after school program provides children with additional opportunities to learn and grow. These programs also provide a seamless day for children enrolled, with fewer transitions.
Locally within our District, all of the Before and After School care programs operated within school facilities are provided by independent, licensed not-for-profit child care operators. They plan a play-based program that is a mix of exploration, guided and independent activities, quiet times and outdoor play.
Before and After School Care Program rates are set by the individual child care operators and may vary from school to school. For a complete list of Before and After School programs currently operating, follow the links below:

A waitlist will be monitored in partnership with local municipal service managers to determine if there is sufficient demand and viability to ensure the operation and / or expansion of programs. Should a provider cease to operate, the board will ensure the availability of another child care provider. In this situation, fees and times of operations may change.
