Interested in becoming an external Board approved Audio-Visual (AV) Technician?

External AV Technicians are hired by community use groups, via the CLASS school rental office, to provide technical support during community use rental events held in the auditoriums at Great Lakes Secondary School and Ursuline College Chatham.

Audio Visual Technicians should have advanced knowledge of audio and video equipment, experience with lighting and filming techniques, excellent troubleshooting skills and good communication skills to interact with school rental groups. AV techs operate equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting, and sound mixing equipment. Experience in either music, theatre or other live events is helpful.

To be eligible you must have the necessary experience to run the Audio-Visual equipment in the school auditorium and be able to provide a Criminal Background Check and proof of General Liability Insurance.

Once you are an external Board approved AV Tech vendor you will be able to bid on upcoming events, depending on your availability.
