The Ontario Ministry of Education announced that child care facilities may re-open as part of the Stage 2 Framework for Reopening the Province in early June. On behalf of the Lambton Kent and St. Clair Catholic District School Boards, CLASS has worked with the independent child care providers who operate in school facilities, the regional Public Health Units and Municipal Child Care Service Managers to support the safe re-opening process and to ensure school facility readiness.
While many child care programs have re-opened with limited enrollment and many safety precautions in place, a number of programs are still making final preparations to re-open. CLASS continues to work with all parties to ensure a safe re-opening of all child care programs between now and Sept. 2020.
Recently, the Ministry of Education released its Policies and Guidelines pertaining to Before and After School Kindergarten to Grade 6. CLASS is working closely with our Boards to review this updated information and will continue to collaborate with our Child Care Providers and key Board staff to ensure preparedness for this fall.
Parents / Guardians who are interested in child care services for their child/children should contact their local provider. For a complete list and contact information for all providers in our school boards, click here.
