CLASS uses the SchoolBusInfo – Bus Status 4 app to push notifications to subscribers for inclement weather cancellations and school bus delays.

The MySBI Bus Status app is available for iPhone and Android:

REMINDER: As school bus routes change every year; you will need to re-select your symbols for the new school year after August 1st.

Step 2: Find Your Weather Zone and Subscribe to Cancellations

Inclement weather may occasionally result in a cancellation of transportation services, or on very rare occasions the early dismissal or closure of schools. The decision to cancel transportation services is taken very seriously and follows the administrative procedure defined in the CLASS Inclement Weather Policy.

There are eight weather zones within the region of Lambton and Chatham-Kent. Weather conditions may require cancellations in specified zones only.

School buses will not pick up students who reside in a closed weather zone, will not provide service to a school located in a closed weather zone, and will not travel through a closed weather zone with students.

To find your home, travel, and school weather zones; please visit the Parent Portal. (Please note that the zone information will be found under the “Contacts” tab.)

If a bus is cancelled in the morning due to snow, ice or freezing rain, it will be cancelled for the entire day and will NOT transport students home at the end of that day. If a bus is cancelled in the morning due to fog, it will operate at the end of the day to transport students home.

You can subscribe to receive push notifications on your smart phone by subscribing to *WEATHER CANCELLATIONS* in the MySBI App.

In the event of inclement weather, the *WEATHER CANCELLATIONS* will turn red and the comments will include details of the cancellation.

PLEASE NOTE: Weather Cancellations ALWAYS override bus delays. If you are impacted by a closed weather zone, then disregard your bus delay status.

Step 3: Find Your Bus Symbols and Subscribe to Bus Delays

Find your symbol

You will need to find your students bus symbol for both their AM & PM runs as they may differ. Symbols for bus runs can be found:

In the third window back on both sides of your bus
By visiting the Parent Portal

Subscribe to bus delay notifications

Click the All Buses icon, then select your school, then select your morning and afternoon buses by clicking the star next to it. This will allow you to receive alerts in the event of a bus delay.

Buses that you have starred are saved in the “My Buses” tab, and you will receive alerts for service delays exceeding 10 minutes.
