A great reminder from our partners in safety #CKPolice👮‍♂️ 🛑The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Management Unit would like you to know that a stopped school bus means children may be entering or leaving the roadway. When you see flashing red lights or an extended stop arm, stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing and the bus begins to move.

Remember, vehicle owners can be charged if their vehicle illegally passes a stopped school bus, even if they were not driving at the time. 🚌

Slow down, stay alert and help keep our students safe. 💙

Now that area kids are fully back to school, a note for motorists: there are many students who walk or wheel to school - please take care to slow down in school zones.

Neighbourhoods surrounding many of our schools are a designated Community Safety Zone, which have posted speed limits of 40km/hr. Please abide by these limits, it helps keep our school communities safe! ...
