These formally established agreements between the Lambton Kent District School Board and local municipalities – City of Sarnia, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, the Township of St. Clair and Lambton Shores – further support access to publicly funded facilities.

Who Benefits From Joint Use Agreements?

Everyone benefits, it’s a win-win situation for the whole community – schools, students, community groups, organized sport leagues, etc.

During the school day schools can enhance health & fitness programs and curriculum based activities by accessing municipal facilities such as; swimming pools, arenas, halls, and a range of outdoor facilities including picnic sites, pavilions, band shells, baseball diamonds, football fields, soccer fields and tennis courts.

Outside school hours, municipal partners can access a variety of school facilities such as; classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, gymnasiums and auditoriums, to run community programs.
