Try sending the actual alerts out earlier in the morning. 705 is no good when the child boards the bus at 644

CLASS Shared School Services So both the chipmunk app and the cklass website tell me my childs bus for this afternoon is cancelled. Is that true. How are kids getting home from school?

My child is in zone 8. The chipmunk app shows the zone 7 testing is complete and that ALL buses are running this afternoon. I called the 1-800 # posted above and confirmed that was all correct. That might be the best way for them to know if it worked 🤷🏼‍♀️

Can the app be fixed so it actually works during inclement weather. It sent out an incorrect alert saying zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 all cancelled… then it crashed and won’t open. Seriously!!!

If a bus is in a zone that is not cancelled but drives through a zone that is cancelled to get to school, would that bus still be cancelled? That’s the way it was last year. Example, the bus that goes through Walpole is zone 5 but, in order to get to UCC, it has to drive through zone 7 which is cancelled today. If the rule is the same as last year then the bus shouldn’t be running correct? If this is true then someone forgot to tell the bus that runs through Walpole island cause it just picked up my son, then I saw this post and are now on their way to UCC…

You forgot to tell the Walpole island bus this rule… they are currently driving through what you consider unsafe weather conditions

The app does not work! It’s, so far, been useless for our family. The old app was WAY better! Now Chipmunk has caused a big inconvenience for families because of a glitch today! Please fix it!

The app is saying Zones 1, 2, 3 and 4 are cancelled. Good thing I didn't see the alert until after my daughter was on the bus!

FIX THE APP!! Shouldn’t be this hard.

A follow up notification should have been sent on the app or a phone call or email to families. Most parents dont have time to check Facebook while getting the kids ready for school.

I feel zone 7 needs broken up. Areas near the lake can be way worse then closer to some schools. Our roads were clear this morning even the side roads. Zone 7 west of zone 8 was snow covered but zone 7 east of zone 8 was surprisingly clear.

Lambton Kent District School Board and Class need to figure out the procedures to follow. Last year if your bus went through a zone that had canceled buses your bus was canceled no matter what zone you were in. This year that isn’t the case. I got a notification that both my kids AM & PM buses were canceled and they were not. I only learned this as I watched their bus drive by in the morning. According to First Student Inc. It is against board policy to cancel a bus that goes through multiple zones, only the zone the bus is canceled in will be effected, that was not the case previously and even the radio stayed the policy was “if your bus goes through a canceled zone it won’t run any of the route.” This is a safety concern for parents and students, and needs to be clarified
